3.5 Education Programs for Students in Care and/or Treatment, Custody, and Correctional Facilities
Education programs for students in care and/or treatment, custody, and correctional facilities are developed through a formalized partnership between a school board and the facility. The school board is responsible for designing and delivering the educational programming, including providing teachers and, in some cases, educa- tional assistants. The partnering facility is responsible for the treatment component.
PPM No. 85 outlines the ministry’s policy with respect to these programs.
