• InJune2015theministryreleasedOntario’sStrategyforK–12International Education (Ontario Ministry of Education, 2015), a document that pro- vides the framework for developing high-quality international education programs and services for students and educators. The strategy supports a range of education initiatives and experiential learning opportunities to develop global competencies and foster ethical citizenship in the context of 21st century teaching and learning.
• PeopleforEducation’s“MeasuringWhatMatters”,amulti-yearinitiative by experts and stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education and other areas of government, is designed to develop a new set of measures and performance standards for schools that include indicators for the broad range of skills that graduates need. The initiative includes outreach and piloting with Ontario schools.
