Sample problem: The height above the ground of a rider on a Ferris wheel can be modelled by the sinusoidal function
h(t) = 25 cos (3 (t – 60)) + 27, where h(t) is the height in metres and t is the time in seconds. Graph the function, using graphing technol- ogy in degree mode, and determine the maximum and minimum heights of the rider, the height after 30 s, and the time required
to complete one revolution.
